Randolph Youth Theater Company (RYTC) is proud to announce the schedule for 2015-16, the 12th season of shows for the company. All performances are at North Asheboro Middle School.
Fall Show, October 15-18, 2015: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis, directed by Devan Ward. The best-selling book made into the blockbuster movie, “The Chronicles of Narnia,” this play takes place in a land of talking animals and mythical creatures that the White Witch has ruled for 100 years of deep winter. Four siblings undergo an adventure to save Narnia and their lives.
Christmas Show, December 3-6, 2015: The Best Christmas Pageant Ever by Barbara Robinson, directed by Bobby Bradford. This is the story of six delinquent children who go to church for the first time and end up in the Sunday school’s Christmas play, in which they put a unique spin on a classic tale and win over the doubtful church members in the process.
Spring Show, March 17-20, 2016: A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court by Mark Twain, directed by Jim Shover. Engineer Hank Morgan travels back in time to the Middle Ages and uses his knowledge of modern technology to first save himself from being executed, then next to put himself in power and ultimately to improve the lives of ordinary people in the time of Camelot.
RYTC encourages everyone to come out and try out for the shows. Auditions are held at the Randolph Arts Guild and those for the Fall Show take place on August 30-31; auditions for the Christmas Show occur on October 25-26 and auditions for the Spring Show are on January 3 and 5.
